The industry is certainly changing but is it changing fast enough? We all really enjoyed watching this video about some of the creative initiatives in the fashion community but also got to hear from some amazing innovators like Patagonia.
We certainly loved the bold one page ad they took out in the New York Times basically rejecting Black Friday. Hard to believe it was 10 years ago....has much has really changed?
Since inception, we have worked hard to stress the importance of design, fit, and of course, fabric. This has led to our own mini-revolution in our own community.
We have had the chance recently to talk about initiatives like FUNDIT and BUYBACK with brands and executives from around the world. It was never our plan to be the only company that does it but rather encourage brands to think about the wearability, durability, and life cycle of each item they make.
We are excited to see what happens in the future and although we enjoyed watching this video, so much of the work going into the industry is about sustainable development but not necessarily wearability.
